Tunstall High School is joining the initiative for National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. The following are activities we are planning for the Week of October 7-11, 2019:
  • We will be participating on October 7, the National Bullying Prevention Awareness Day, “Blue Up”, by offering opportunities for all school members wear the color Blue.
  • Classes in the Business Department are creating posters that will be posted throughout the interior and the exterior of our campus to showcase our support of Stomp Out Bullying Initiatives.
  • FFA is sponsoring a door-decorating contest relative to standing up for one another.
  • Locker Shock-students will post positive message on all school lockers. The notes will include messages of gratitude and support.
  • Our BETA club students are sponsoring “Get to the Point: Erase Bullying”. The club is getting pencils and writing positive messages on them. The pencils will be handed out in classrooms.
  • The BETA is in the planning phases for a community event to be held later in the month of October through the “Service Snapshot” portion of the competition in Charlotte, NC. This will be focused on standing up for others in appropriate ways.
  • THS DECA is displaying blue pin wheels in the front of our campus. Also, they are posting signs throughout the campus with messages like “Kind is the new cool” and “Make Bullying History”.
  • DECA is sponsoring an online #Later Haters Pledge during lunch periods.

The following activities are planned throughout the month:

    • Oct. 7th- National Anti-Bullying Day Wear Blue shirts (Advocate, Be Kind to Others)
    • Oct. 14th-Stand Up for Others Week, (Inspire Others, Create Kindness)
    • Oct 21st-No One Eats Alone (sits alone on the bus, class, etc.)
    • Oct. 23rd- Unity Day is Wed., Wear Orange Shirts (pacer.org)
    • Oct 28th-Change the Culture (Stomp Out bullying)
